Versatile Security
Available in hinging, sliding and bi-fold systems, your Security Plantation Shutters and Blinds can be used as hinged security doors, sliding security doors, fixed security window shutters, sliding security window shutters, a patio enclosure and privacy screen, or a bi-folding door and window. They are suitable for commercial and residential applications, internal or external, and can be made to suit any rectangular opening.

Plantation Shutters and Blinds Design
Security365 Security Plantation Shutters and Blinds consists of an 88mm extruded aluminium aerofoil blade containing a reinforced core, which pivots on an 8mm machined solid axle, captured on both sides by a seamless aluminium security frame. Blades are connected to an operating rod located cleverly to the sides of the blades via acetyl bush that provides smooth and rattle free operation.
The plantation shutters and blinds swing on security hinges or slide in a security track and are locked with an integrated key operated lock, that when activated, throw a strong, stainless steel 8mm diameter locking pin into the surrounding frame or structure.
Locks and Keying
All hinged doors built for Australian Standards Certification, are provided with triple locking and a handle on the front and back of the door. Sliding doors are locked in place through the use of the security guide tracks at the top and bottom of the panel, and an Australian Standards Certified single or three-point key lock. Two keys are provided per lock.
Flyscreening
Flyscreens are available. Generally they are provided with easily operated turn-buttons, to allow for easy removal when they require cleaning. A limited number of applications may require the screens to be screw fastened on. When considering flyscreening bear in mind that sometimes there may be small gaps between panels at both top or the sill where they come together. These are unavoidable. Flyscreens are especially popular in humid locations like Sydney, Melbourne and Perth which attract mosquitos and other flying insects.
Plantation Shutters and Blinds Colours
Your plantation shutters will be supplied standard with a very durable and easily cleaned powder-coated finish. Our standard colours are “Interpon’s – Satin White” or “Jotun’s – Satin White Birch”. Other powder coat colours are available on request with the satin finish recommended and at a moderate additional cost.

Our hinged plantation shutters and blinds have undergone recent testing by a NATA approved laboratory to meet Australian Security Screen Standards AS5039 & AS5040 [type 2, class B].
