New three-year crime strategy Date 09/12/15 | Category: Latest News

According to the Sydney Morning Herald on 31 May 2012, “police will aim to cut burglary crime by 10 per cent by the end of 2015 under the government’s new strategy to tackle property crime”. The new strategy, covering the next three years, continues the focused crack down on property crime by police, and follows on from significant reductions in property crime since the government’s last strategy launched in 2004.

In the most recent criminal profile of the ACT, released for the March quarter, burglary was shown to have dropped by 25 per cent and motor vehicle theft by 27 per cent compared to the previous 12 months. Police have recently begun targeting a core group of recidivist offenders responsible for much of the territory’s property crime, relying on an intelligence-led approach. That approach will continue over the next three years, but there will also be a focus on early intervention, and creating a ‘‘robust support network’’ for victims of crime. The new strategy will also be aided by a new round of community grants totalling $300,000, which will help community groups equip their facilities with simple security measures, such as automated lighting, fences, and alarms.

One such supplier of these types of security measures is Security365 which supplies and installs a wide range of security doors, security alarm systems and security solutions (a one stop-shop!) to homes and businesses across Australia. They offer a free quote / security assessment, check measure and installation. The product offering includes roller shutters and grilles, stainless steel mesh, security doors, trellis doors, grilles, gates, fencing, home alarm systems, business alarm systems and alarm monitoring.

Security365’s technicians are highly trained, professional, and members of national security group with an established charter and code of ethics with which they will have to comply. They are not restricted to a narrow range of security door and security alarm products and are able to cater to the specific needs and budgets of their customers, enabling customers to use one supplier to service all of their security systems requirements.

Security365 carry the full spectrum of simple security systems, the implementation of which will further assist in the reduction of property crime in Australia.
